• Whom it will appeal to: fantasy football leaguers looking for additional insight
So now were famous in Colorado...Thats because they don’t know any better with the air so thin in the state...

So last week, you were solo...Not low enough because we still heard you doing a show buddy...
I was on vacation with the family for a few days...

Recaping your picks from last week....

Recap how our fantasy teams did...

For Bill - LT Dominated...Vanderjack could have won it for me with that missed field goal early in the game....Kerry Collins sucked and will continue to suck without Randy Moss....Now sitting at 3 - 3...

Against Fellow podcasters we are now 5 - 1...Beating up on TPS Radio 95 - 80 powered by Willis McGhee with 22 points and Marcus Pollard realize the football season was under way gettting us 10 big points...Despite the 0 by Randy Moss and bad numbers from Drew Bennett, we win again...The only other person close to us would be the dude who jerks off every time his team gets a touchdown on Sundays...

Now time to take a look at the emails were we get a note from Mike in Cleveland Ohio...

Hey guys,
You have a great podcast, and I look forward to it every week. Whether or not I take your advice, is a different story. Kidding of course. Although, you should have followed your own advice:
Never start, Aaron Brooks.
I hate him, the Saints, and Donte Stallworth. Donte has made the permanent trip from my team to the waiver wire.
Mike W.
Cleveland, OH

Mr. Matchup checks in to break your balls pal...

Yo Porterhouse!
I gave you props last week for the call on Curtis
Martin, but you this week you dropped the ball on
Brunell and Santana Moss. Oh well, it's a hit or miss
business. If this doesn't work out, I'm sure you can
have a nice career as a weatherman! I'm just busting
your chops.

Three questions for you guys this week.

1) Would you start Jamie Martin over Mark Brunell this
week...and for the next 2 starts if needed?

2) Who would you rather own Cooley or Troupe?

3) There's some chatter about TEN WR Brandon Jones,
but how good is / can he really be with McNair
throwing to him?

Dallas' curveball of starting Anthony Thomas over
Tyson Thompson caught me looking. These game time
decisions are killing me.

Anyway Porterhouse, I'll make you a deal, I'll change
my lame name (Mr. Matchup) if you learn the name of
your own show..."Football Fantasy Focus"!

1.

Marc Bulger compared his shoulder injury to the one that caused him to miss two games last season.
The Rams have two games before a week nine bye. It sounds like the team will target a return for November 13th, although an MRI Tuesday should tell the story. Jamie Martin would start in the meantime, hurting Torry Holt and Kevin Curtis' value.
Coach Jim Haslett said yesterday that WR Joe Horn (hamstring) is "very questionable" for Sunday's game.
Horn re-aggravated his hamstring injury in Week 6 and went without a catch.
WR Roy Williams said yesterday that his strained left quadriceps was improved.
Williams is unsure if he'll play Sunday after being inactive for Week 6.
According to the Dallas Morning News, WR Patrick Crayton is out for at least a month with what is being called a sprained ankle.
That's a big improvement over Crayton potentially missing the rest of the year, like was initially thought. WR Peerless Price is expected to pick up additional playing time with Crayton out.
WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (hand) has been upgraded to questionable for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh.
Houshmandzadeh sat out each of the last two games and was listed as doubtful heading into Week 6.
RB T.J. Duckett is day-to-day with a sprained right ankle.
Duckett had an MRI on the ankle yesterday and was walking around wearing a protective boot. He suffered the injury on his very first carry Sunday.
Drew Bennett is out at least two weeks after undergoing thumb surgery Monday.
The Titans say Bennett is out "an indefinite period of time," but coach Jeff Fisher did not sound optimistic it would be soon. Tyrone Calico will likely move up to a starting role opposite rookie Brandon Jones. Fellow rookies Roydell Williams and Courtney Roby will help out. The Titans will rely on their two tight end sets.
An MRI on Randy Moss revealed a groin strain and bone bruise of the pelvic region.
Turner was vague about Moss' status, but the MRI did not reveal a tear. "Later in the week, we'll see how quickly the soreness leaves. We'll update his status on Wednesday," Turner said. Doug Gabriel and Alvis Whitted each move up a spot if Moss is out.

Coach Lovie Smith said yesterday that RB Thomas Jones (knee) may get a light workload in practice this week, but is expected to play Sunday.
"We ask the guys to play with pain,'' Smith said. "We'll never ask anyone to play with an injury. But pain, you expect guys to go with that. It shows your toughness and things like that. That's where we are as a football team.'' Jones faces a tough matchup against Baltimore's run defense

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, QB Ben Roethlisberger (knee) will start Sunday against Cincinnati.
"He's a big part of our football team," Heath Miller said. "I know he was frustrated he wasn't able to play this weekend, but I'm sure he'll be back and he'll be a big help for us this weekend."

Coach Jack Del Rio said yesterday that he expects RB Fred Taylor (ankle) to play when the Jaguars return from this week's bye.
Taylor sat out Sunday's win over Pittsburgh, with RB Greg Jones doing a very good job in his place.
Kevin Curtis caught three passes for 73 yards and a touchdown in week six.
He nabbed a 57-yard touchdown pass from Marc Bulger, but was quiet after Bulger left the game. If Bulger is out a while, we'd down the Rams receivers
Edgerrin James rushed 23 times for 143 yard and three touchdowns in week six.
The top three fantasy picks this season have lived up to their draft slots. Edge is on pace for over 2,200 total yards, which would be a career best. If the season started over today, he'd still be our third pick.

Coach Mike Tice said Nate Burleson was "looking good" and was optimistic that Burleson could play this week.
Tice intimated that Burleson ended up being very close to playing last week, despite being listed as out. If he starts, Burleson has an excellent matchup against the Packers.
Chris Simms is likely to be Tampa's starting quarterback for the rest of the season.
Brian Grise has a torn ACL. Simms was a promising QB prospect before getting injured in his first NFL start last year. The Tampa coaching staff appeared to sour on him after he recovered, but he has the skills and system to approximate Griese's production or better. He's a fine pickup if you need QB

Cedric Benson was benched late in Chicago's game for poor pass protection.
Benson rushed three times for two yards in garbage time. He then whiffed on a block that led to Kyle Orton being sacked. The Vikings would have scored a TD on the play, but a penalty nullified it. Benson is in a hole and may not get out until next season. He's only worth owning because Thomas Jones is an injury risk.

The NFL trading deadline is tomorrow, but the Dolphins are reportedly not interested in moving RB Ricky Williams.
Williams had 11 touches in his first game back and could emerge as a legit fantasy option again before the year is over.
