Watch for key injuries in Week 8
We are still about 5 hours away from kick-off of the 1pm games...Some line-up decisions still have not been made...Be careful and watch the pre-game shows if you can...
Fred Taylor - If he was healthy, you would expect a monster game from him...He was downgraded on Friday to Questionable...
Tori Holt - Listed as doubtful...
Randy Moss - Is listed as questionable...He should play...
Julius Jones - Is listed as questionable...Likely not to play...
Corey Dillion - Is questionable...Missed some practice on Friday...Will probably play Sunday night...I don't expect him to have alot of success...
Joe Horn - practiced alot this week...But has not played alot in the last several weeks...He is listed as questionable...Should see action...
Brandon Jones - Everybody jumped on his band wagon with the injury to Drew Bennett...He is listed as questionable, but will probably not play...Be careful...
Cadillac Williams - Listed as questionable...This WILL be a game time decision...
Good Luck this week...Except you Porterhouse...

Triple F Football Fantasy Focus Week 12 - Some good matchups to watch this week
Play the Show
Week 12 of the show and week 8 of the NFL...Some good matchups to watch this week...But who should you have in play this week for your fantasy team...Plus Bad Darren gives you some picks for you to do what you would like...
Triple F Football Fantasy Focus - Week 12
Just when you thought you were hitting it lucky, we hit you with yet another addition of Triple F Football Fantasy Focus. Hello again everybody, I’m Bill Powers....DROP....Along side with my portly Pal Darren Porterhouse DiPrima (Drop).....Where Porterhouse is looking forward to draft day with his New York Jets...While I get ready for week 8 against the Washington Redskins...
Lots of business to get to today with a look at the mail bag...A full injury report...News from around the NFL and of course, who should be in your line-up for this weeks games....We’ll also give the Aaron Brooks Award to the worst Fantasy Player last week...See who the Correl Buckhalter Award goes to for the player injuried and out for the season...And of course, who hailed Mary this week for the MVP...
As usual, we ask that you subscribe to the show so that you never miss an episode...You can do it very easily on Fantasyfocuspodcast.com, Itunes or Ipodder.org....If you go to Fantasy Focus Podcast, the show is now available as an MP3 that you don’t need to download...Also, you can check out any past shows that you may have missed over the past several weeks....Hey guys,
1. I need WR help!
Robert Ferguson’s injury last Sunday most likely means he won’t be able to play this Sunday. Of my two starting wide receivers, Plaxico Burress is one. Who should the other be? These are my choices:
1) Braylon Edwards – CLE vs HOU
2) Mike Williams – DET vs CHI
3) Lee Evans – BUF vs NE
4) Marcus Robinson – MIN vs CAR
5) Josh Reed – BUF vs NE
6) Tyrone Calico – TEN vs OAK, especially with both Drew Bennett and Brandon Jones hurt.
Also, given that Chris Brown has been Mr. durable so far this year and assuming he continues to be, is Travis Henry going to get enough touches to be a worthwhile pickup?
Thanks in advance.
~Sanjay
Hey,
My money league is one that allows MONDO points for returns. e.g Wes Welker
gave me 49 points during the week that LT gave me only 36 (with his pass,
punt and kick tri-pronged attack).
Can you examine some of the return guys? I ask because I put in McAfee (New
Orleans) and he gave me a nice goose-egg.
ALSO, can you sometimes compare and contrast position players. Instead of
saying, "Play Payton, don't play Brooks, play Westbrook" ETC.
FEW teams have more than two superstars, so throw in a comparison of Bledsoe
and Vick OR Hasselback and Brunell. Or running backs, Stephen Davis vs.
Bettis.
Thanks for your hard work and research.
Jeff
Your show is great. The commentary is spot on and the chemistry is good. Yes,
I have a 'suggestion'.
Teach your cohort to SPEAK INTO THE MIKE...especially when you take one of
your frequent vacations. All last week he was coming in and out on my iPod
and I had to keep turning the volume up and down.
VERY FRUSTRATING.
Keep up the good work. Get some sponsors and give away some schwag. I'd likea football. Send to the address below.
Thanks,
Jeff
1.
Robert Ferguson is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a sprained LCL.
"He has made some Lazerus-like comebacks in the past," coach Mike Sherman. "We hope to get him back soon." This is good news for Ferguson owners who feared the worst. Don't drop him.
Antonio Chatman will start in his place...
Coach Mike Sherman confirmed Monday that Ahman Green will miss the rest of the 2005 with a torn thigh tendon.
He will undergo surgery Tuesday. Coach Sherman opined that Green could be ready for training camp next year, but it's uncertain whose training camp that will be. Green is a free agent this off-season and isn't likely to get attractive offers coming off a rough start followed by an injury like this.
WR Andre Johnson (calf) is expected to practice on a limited basis this week.
"What I'd like to anticipate is Andre Johnson coming back," coach Dom Capers said. Johnson has been a huge disappointment this season, but his injury has given WR Jabar Gaffney some value
Coach Bill Parcells said yesterday that RB Julius Jones (ankle) is unlikely to play Sunday against Arizona.
"It doesn't look good for Jones," Parcells said. If Jones can't go, expect Marion Barber to once again get the bulk of the work in Dallas' backfield.
WR Michael Jenkins left last night's game in the third quarter with a knee injury and did not return.
Jenkins suffered the injury reaching for a pass from QB Michael Vick that was behind him. If Jenkins is out for an extended period of time, WR Roddy White will step in for him.
Alex Smith sprained two ligaments on the inside of his knee during Sunday's game.
The team says they are unsure if he'll play, then said he's probable for week eight. Smith's backup is Ken Dorsey. Should be a fun game against the Bucs.
Chris Brown is expected to practice this week despite his shoulder injury.
Brown will undergo tests after losing feeling in his hand, but is expected to play this week.
Not surprising with Travis Henry returning from his suspension.
Roy Williams (quad) didn't sound positive about his chances for returning this week.
``I'm not sure right now,'' said Williams. ``I've got a Grade 3 pull, which is the worst grade, and you just go out there and do what I do with a pull like that.'' The Lions could be forced to start Scottie Vines this week.
WR Joe Jurevicius left Sunday's game in the fourth quarter with a pinched nerve in his neck.
Jurevicius had six catches for 54 yards before the injury. He said after the game that he didn't think it would be serious.
WR Torry Holt (knee) was a late scratch Sunday and his status for Week 8 is uncertain.
Holt said yesterday that he has a strained PCL, rather than simply a bruised knee. It was the first time Holt has missed a game in seven seasons.
Giants president and Co-CEO Wellington Mara has passed away at the age of 89.
Mara is well known as one of the classiest and influential owners in the history of the NFL. Coach Tom Coughlin spoke about how important it was for the Giants to win last weekend with Mara's health deteriorating
Mike Martz said in a press conference Monday that he will plans to coach the Rams in 2006.
He will make a full recovery from his health problems. Asked if he would coach the Rams, Martz said, "I'm under contract. I love it here." It's possible the front office could have other ideas, but that's just speculation at this point.
RB Fred Taylor said yesterday that his ankle injury is fine and he expects to start Sunday.
"I just heal quick,'' Taylor said. Yeah Fred, because it's not like you're know for being injury prone or anything. If healthy, expect Taylor to have a good game Sunday against St. Louis.
With the Packers thin at wide receiver, Freddie Mitchell may be an option.
Green Bay is expected to work Mitchell out this week. "One thing about Freddie, he has always made plus plays," Donald Driver said. "We don't know what they're going to do. If they bring in Freddie, fine. Right now, we need some more help. We have two big starters going down and there’s nothing we can do about it."
Coach Romeo Crennel said yesterday that he is considering benching QB Trent Dilfer in favor of rookie QB Charlie Frye.
"We'll discuss it and we'll come out [this] week, and we'll do something," Crennel said. "And hopefully with what we do, we can show improvement. If that involves changing personnel, then there's a possibility that personnel will be changed."
There is once again talk in Baltimore of RB Jamal Lewis not playing at full capacity because he is unhappy with the Ravens for not offering him a new contract.
This time is it former Ravens defensive end Michael McCrary doing the talking. "Jamal is a warrior, one of the few warriors on the team," McCrary said. "He loves being physical and running over people. He's not even close to being finished. You've got to pay your warriors. They have to be able to go out on the field and be completely focused. There can't be any interference because they play at a different level than other players."
According to the Arizona Republic, coach Dennis Green hasn't thought about who will start at quarterback Sunday against Dallas.
There shouldn't be much to think about. Josh McCown played poorly last week, but Green has yet to win a game in Arizona with another QB under center.
Brooks Bollinger completed 12-of-20 passes for 94 yards in relief of Vinny Testaverde Monday night.
It's a pipe dream, but we can expect the Matt Leinart talk to being in earnest this week in the New York papers. With Vinny Testaverde possibly out, Bollinger is in line to take over for the decimated Jets offense.
Rudi Johnson complained about his lack of use during Sunday's game.
"They do what they do, they're trying to turn me into a thief, but I ain't a thief," Johnson said about earning his money with only 12 carries. Rudi isn't going to get the ball much in games the Bengals trail in because of Chris Perry.
Cowboys signed K Scott Suisham
Coach Bill Parcells had this ringing endorsement for the former practice-squad player Monday, "I don't know if he'll do any better, but it's hard to live with what we got right now." Jose Cortez was released on Monday...
WR Jerome Mathis returned seven kickoffs for a team-record 266 yards Sunday.
Mathis had four returns of at least 35 yards, including an 89-yard touchdown. "In my opinion, today he could have had three," special-teams coach Joe Marciano said. "He was so close to scoring three touchdowns."

So now were famous in Colorado...Thats because they don’t know any better with the air so thin in the state...
So last week, you were solo...Not low enough because we still heard you doing a show buddy...
I was on vacation with the family for a few days...
Recaping your picks from last week....
Recap how our fantasy teams did...
For Bill - LT Dominated...Vanderjack could have won it for me with that missed field goal early in the game....Kerry Collins sucked and will continue to suck without Randy Moss....Now sitting at 3 - 3...
Against Fellow podcasters we are now 5 - 1...Beating up on TPS Radio 95 - 80 powered by Willis McGhee with 22 points and Marcus Pollard realize the football season was under way gettting us 10 big points...Despite the 0 by Randy Moss and bad numbers from Drew Bennett, we win again...The only other person close to us would be the dude who jerks off every time his team gets a touchdown on Sundays...
Now time to take a look at the emails were we get a note from Mike in Cleveland Ohio...
Hey guys,
You have a great podcast, and I look forward to it every week. Whether or not I take your advice, is a different story. Kidding of course. Although, you should have followed your own advice:
Never start, Aaron Brooks.
I hate him, the Saints, and Donte Stallworth. Donte has made the permanent trip from my team to the waiver wire.
Mike W.
Cleveland, OH
Mr. Matchup checks in to break your balls pal...
Yo Porterhouse!
I gave you props last week for the call on Curtis
Martin, but you this week you dropped the ball on
Brunell and Santana Moss. Oh well, it's a hit or miss
business. If this doesn't work out, I'm sure you can
have a nice career as a weatherman! I'm just busting
your chops.
Three questions for you guys this week.
1) Would you start Jamie Martin over Mark Brunell this
week...and for the next 2 starts if needed?
2) Who would you rather own Cooley or Troupe?
3) There's some chatter about TEN WR Brandon Jones,
but how good is / can he really be with McNair
throwing to him?
Dallas' curveball of starting Anthony Thomas over
Tyson Thompson caught me looking. These game time
decisions are killing me.
Anyway Porterhouse, I'll make you a deal, I'll change
my lame name (Mr. Matchup) if you learn the name of
your own show..."Football Fantasy Focus"!
"Game Time Decision"
(formerly Mr. Matchup)
1.
Marc Bulger compared his shoulder injury to the one that caused him to miss two games last season.
The Rams have two games before a week nine bye. It sounds like the team will target a return for November 13th, although an MRI Tuesday should tell the story. Jamie Martin would start in the meantime, hurting Torry Holt and Kevin Curtis' value.
Coach Jim Haslett said yesterday that WR Joe Horn (hamstring) is "very questionable" for Sunday's game.
Horn re-aggravated his hamstring injury in Week 6 and went without a catch.
WR Roy Williams said yesterday that his strained left quadriceps was improved.
Williams is unsure if he'll play Sunday after being inactive for Week 6.
According to the Dallas Morning News, WR Patrick Crayton is out for at least a month with what is being called a sprained ankle.
That's a big improvement over Crayton potentially missing the rest of the year, like was initially thought. WR Peerless Price is expected to pick up additional playing time with Crayton out.
WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (hand) has been upgraded to questionable for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh.
Houshmandzadeh sat out each of the last two games and was listed as doubtful heading into Week 6.
RB T.J. Duckett is day-to-day with a sprained right ankle.
Duckett had an MRI on the ankle yesterday and was walking around wearing a protective boot. He suffered the injury on his very first carry Sunday.
Drew Bennett is out at least two weeks after undergoing thumb surgery Monday.
The Titans say Bennett is out "an indefinite period of time," but coach Jeff Fisher did not sound optimistic it would be soon. Tyrone Calico will likely move up to a starting role opposite rookie Brandon Jones. Fellow rookies Roydell Williams and Courtney Roby will help out. The Titans will rely on their two tight end sets.
An MRI on Randy Moss revealed a groin strain and bone bruise of the pelvic region.
Turner was vague about Moss' status, but the MRI did not reveal a tear. "Later in the week, we'll see how quickly the soreness leaves. We'll update his status on Wednesday," Turner said. Doug Gabriel and Alvis Whitted each move up a spot if Moss is out.
Coach Lovie Smith said yesterday that RB Thomas Jones (knee) may get a light workload in practice this week, but is expected to play Sunday.
"We ask the guys to play with pain,'' Smith said. "We'll never ask anyone to play with an injury. But pain, you expect guys to go with that. It shows your toughness and things like that. That's where we are as a football team.'' Jones faces a tough matchup against Baltimore's run defense
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, QB Ben Roethlisberger (knee) will start Sunday against Cincinnati.
"He's a big part of our football team," Heath Miller said. "I know he was frustrated he wasn't able to play this weekend, but I'm sure he'll be back and he'll be a big help for us this weekend."
Coach Jack Del Rio said yesterday that he expects RB Fred Taylor (ankle) to play when the Jaguars return from this week's bye.
Taylor sat out Sunday's win over Pittsburgh, with RB Greg Jones doing a very good job in his place.
Kevin Curtis caught three passes for 73 yards and a touchdown in week six.
He nabbed a 57-yard touchdown pass from Marc Bulger, but was quiet after Bulger left the game. If Bulger is out a while, we'd down the Rams receivers
Edgerrin James rushed 23 times for 143 yard and three touchdowns in week six.
The top three fantasy picks this season have lived up to their draft slots. Edge is on pace for over 2,200 total yards, which would be a career best. If the season started over today, he'd still be our third pick.
Coach Mike Tice said Nate Burleson was "looking good" and was optimistic that Burleson could play this week.
Tice intimated that Burleson ended up being very close to playing last week, despite being listed as out. If he starts, Burleson has an excellent matchup against the Packers.
Chris Simms is likely to be Tampa's starting quarterback for the rest of the season.
Brian Grise has a torn ACL. Simms was a promising QB prospect before getting injured in his first NFL start last year. The Tampa coaching staff appeared to sour on him after he recovered, but he has the skills and system to approximate Griese's production or better. He's a fine pickup if you need QB
Cedric Benson was benched late in Chicago's game for poor pass protection.
Benson rushed three times for two yards in garbage time. He then whiffed on a block that led to Kyle Orton being sacked. The Vikings would have scored a TD on the play, but a penalty nullified it. Benson is in a hole and may not get out until next season. He's only worth owning because Thomas Jones is an injury risk.
The NFL trading deadline is tomorrow, but the Dolphins are reportedly not interested in moving RB Ricky Williams.
Williams had 11 touches in his first game back and could emerge as a legit fantasy option again before the year is over.

1. I’m wondering about picking up Ricky Williams, Imp in a 12 team league that scores heavy on touchdowns. Right now I have Priest Holmes, Mewelde Moore, and Reuben Droughns. I dropped Kevin Jones for Mewelde last week as I have no faith in him. I’m looking for a jump start and thought Ricky may be able to do this and wondered what you thoughts were. Great show, don’t forget us little people when you go big.
Mike in Wisconsin
Hey guys,
Your show is well put together and entertaining. Just
wanted to bounce a few things off you guys, becauseit's always good to hear other opinions.
1) Do you see Joe Horn as a must start every week
despite Aaron Brooks' inconsistencies or is he a
match-up guy from week to week? I only ask because or
nagging injuries and the "you never start...Aaron
Brooks" factor.
2) If you could only keep 1 defensive team for the
rest of the season, would you keep Chicago or would
you keep Cincinnati?
3) I can only start 2 RB's a week. I have 3 (Deuce,
Julius Jones, and Cadillac Williams).
I'm thinking of trading away 1 of them for a stud WR,
and then pickup a "backup" from the waiver wire (ala
Mewelde Moore, Shipp, Chester Taylor). This way, I
maximize the talent on my team.
The alternative would be to keep all 3 RB's and just
play the WR matchup game each week. What do you
think?
4) Speaking of the matchup game. I have 2 separate
teams in different leagues. I can start 2 WR's for
each team. Who would you start for week 4:
Team A - (Joe Horn, Andre Johnson, Keyshawn Johnson,
Ashley Lelie, Jerry Porter, Robert Ferguson, )
Team B (Joe Horn, Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Smith, Arnaz
Battle, Michael Jenkins)
Thanks guys and keep up the good job!
Mr. Match-UpThanks for the kinds words...Glad you enjoy the show...Pass the word around...
1. 1) Joe Horn is always a must start...Despite our ongoing negative comments about Aaron Brooks, he still completes pass' and his number 1 guy is Joe Horn...The guy has only missed one game in 8 years and is a warrior...Always start Joe Horn...
2) Chicago is a stronger defense...The only question is will they tire with Kyle Orton running the offense and not staying on the feel very long...
3) Not a bad idea...Although you need to be careful incase of injury...If you have adequate WR that you use wisely with matchups, then hold on to all three for now...I'm a little worried that Gruden is overworking the Cadillac...Remember, he shared carries in college and played less games...
4) Team one...Horn and Keyshawn...
Team Two - Horn and Steve Smith...
Horn is always a must start...SO that takes one spot on both team right away...Dallas and Oakland will be a shootout and Bledsoe seems to like Keyshawn for 6...
RB Carnell Williams' injured hamstring was tested Monday, but the Bucs aren't expected to update his status until tomorrow.
"Whether it's a hamstring or any injury, you've got to be careful with it," coach Jon Gruden said. "I've been frustrated, as has he, the last couple weeks. The foot injury has been persistent. It's getting better, but how much better I really don't know. We're going to put him in a boot (Monday), take the boot off (today) and see how he feels. In the time being, Earnest Graham, (Michael) Pittman, those guys will go."
WR Hines Ward (hamstring) did not practice yesterday.
Ward expects to play Monday night. "I'll be there," Ward said. "I didn't want to re-aggravate it."
RB Curtis Martin re-injured his right knee in Sunday's game, but it is not expected to be serious.
Martin will likely be listed as probable on the injury report.
The Packers are unsure of the extent of RB Ahman Green's knee injury.
"With Green, it was serious enough that he couldn’t come back." coach Mike Sherman said. RB Najeh Davenport is a solid pickup until Green's status is updated.
WR Terrence Murphy remains in a Charlotte hospital, but has reportedly had movement in all of his extremities.
Murphy was taken off the field on a stretcher Monday night with a neck injury. "He’ll stay here (Monday night) and possibly (tonight)." coach Mike Sherman said. "It was very scary, but it looks like he’s going to be OK."
WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (hand) is questionable for Sunday's game.
Houshmandzadeh hurt his hand late in the fourth quarter in Week 4, but he should play Sunday
Coach Jim Mora said yesterday that Michael Vick (knee) should play Sunday against the Patriots.
"That ought to put that to rest," Mora said. "I'd expect there's a good chance he'll be ready to roll." While New England's defense was shredded against San Diego, this is still a very tough matchup for Vick regardless of the injury.
Nate Burleson is expected to return to action for the Vikings in week six.
The Vikings have a bye, but Burleson should be good to go after that. He's got a tough matchup against Chicago in his first game back.
WR Isaac Bruce was inactive for Sunday's game and did not even test his injured toe in pregame warmups.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Bruce is expected to miss several more games with the injury. WR Kevin Curtis will continue to start and be a good play.
TE Roland Williams suffered what the Rams are calling a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's game.
"He dislocated his knee," coach Mike Martz said. "So he's done, I'm sure. Unless they can glue it together somehow."
The Baltimore Sun is suggesting that Jamal Lewis is lacking effort this season because he's upset about his contract.
Mike Preston, the excellent Sun writer, was the first to break Lewis' decision to sit out a preseason game because of the contract problems. The Ravens publicly made Lewis' long-term deal a priority, but have since backed off the idea. His poor performance won't help his case.
Jake Plummer could be subject to an NFL fine for refusing to wear a "Futbol Americano" decal this weekend.
Gotta love Jake. Plummer was threatened with a $30,000 fine last season for wearing a helmet decal honoring his former teammate, the late Pat Tillman.
Peter Warrick is likely to pick up playing time if Bobby Engram can't return to action this week.
Warrick was inactive last week with a groin injury, but should be ready this time. It's unclear whether Warrick would start or be the third receiver behind Joe Jurevicius.
The Chiefs are re-considering their running back rotation.
So far, Kansas City has used Larry Johnson every third series. Priest Holmes had his best game in week four, causing many to wonder if they should stick with the "hot runner" as the game progresses. It's probably good news for Priest owners.
While RBs Jerome Bettis and Duce Staley will both likely be healthy for Monday night's game, coach Bill Cowher said Willie Parker will start.
Parker will almost certainly have a much lighter workload than he has had so far this season and
will probably lose out on touchdowns to Bettis at the goal line
Coach Herm Edwards said yesterday that he will decide within the next 24 hours who the Jets' starting quarterback will be Sunday.
"I have to make sure that I'm making the right decision," Edwards said.
QB Daunte Culpepper said yesterday that he has played the entire season with a sprained MCL and bursitis in his right knee.
"There's swelling, and it's painful, but I'm a warrior," Culpepper said. "I'm going to push through this." Don't expect him to miss any time, although his owners might not mind a week or two off at this point.
Charles Rogers has been notified by the NFL that he is being suspended for four games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Rogers could appeal. If not, the suspension will begin this week. Rogers' problems date all the way back to doctoring a positive urine sample at the 2003 NFL scouting combine. This helps explains Rogers' lessened practice reps recently. Mike Williams and Kevin Johnson will both pick up snaps and a little fantasy value in the meantime. Feel free to drop Rogers in 12-team leagues if you need the roster spot
Tony Gonzalez is angry with how the Chiefs are using him this season.
"I didn’t go downfield at all," Gonzalez said "I’m not pointing any fingers. But defenses are not doing anything different now than they’ve ever done... I just didn’t get the opportunity. I have to get the opportunity to do it. I need to get the ball to help this team win. I am a six-time Pro Bowler." It's odd the Chiefs would phase Gonzalez out of the offense on purpose. We suspect this complaining will help his stats.

I have to say, that god the fantasy baseball season is over…It was incredibly horrendous for me, but my former co-host, Chris Adams won it all…Congratulations Chris…We did a head to head American League only league and some how, despite what I thought were poor decisions, he got hot at the right time to win it all…
In my five by five mixed league, I finished 6th of 9 which is pitiful…
Time to take a look at the final gmail of the season and it comes from ARon who writes.
I will probably end the year in 5th place so I am now looking toward next year and my keepers. We are allowed up to 5 keepers. When you keep a player you forfeit that round draft pick. My top 4 picks this year were Abreu, Santana, Ortiz and Lidge. I traded Lidge for Oswalt who was also taken in the 3rd round. I plan on keeping Santana, Oswalt and Ortiz in rounds 2, 3, and 4 (Ortiz moves to 4 because Oswalt was picked earlier then Ortiz in the 3rd round). My 4th keeper is H. Street in the 23rd round. I am not sure who my last keeper should be. Pickups default to the 18th round. I drafted in C. Cordero in the 18th round and I traded for J. Cantu and Cliff Lee who were pickups and would also cost me an 18th rounder next year. What should I do? I would love to have 7 keepers but I can't. Since I am already keeping Street I probably won't keep Cordero but I am not sure if I should keep Lee or Cantu who both had a tremendous years. Or should I keep both Lee and Cantu (rounds 18 and 19 because they were both pickups), let Oswalt go and keep Ortiz in the 3rd round? Thanks for your help. Keep up the great work on both shows.
Aron Bergman Number 1, thanks for listening to both shows...It is much appreciated...Make sure you go to Fantasyfocuspodcast.com and subscribe to the shows so you get fresh ones as soon as they become available...I plan on teaming up with porterhouse and doing a couple of baseball shows during the winter...If your subscribed, you'll get them right away...
There is no way in hell you can let the possible MVP of the league go...I definately keep big pappi, Abreu and Santana...I like Huston Street especially in the 23rd round...He will probably go in the top 12 rounds...So at 23rd, thats a steal and you could still pick someone else up in the later part of the draft to go in tandem with him...
So now I look at balance for you in the draft...You have two sluggers (if abreu bounces back), a starter and a closer...So now your dilemna...Without knowing what rounds everyone else keeps, I think I keep Oswalt as well...Chances are good, there will not be a 1st through 4th first round pick available...So you now have on your roster to begin the year with a 1, 2, and two threes...You don't know what Cantu will do next year...Although now I think you can say that Lee is for real...After last years great start and a full solid season this year...So what is my final answer...If you think that you can get a talent in the first couple of rounds (based on what everyone else will keep or drop, plus whats still available), than keep Lee...But I also think that Lee and Cantu will be available when you finally get to pick in the early rounds...They will fly under the radar because Lee does not have great strikeout numbers...And unless your name is Crawford, Devil Rays will last longer in the draft...
My two cents...
Again thanks for listening...
